Wrapping up a good holiday!

Sorry for not updating my Queensland trip. It has been pretty insane the past few days. Right now, I’m on the plane back to Melbourne where Qyn and Sonja are making the kids sleep, Nick is snoozing and Gab is watching some videos. I’m pretty tired and tomorrow I have a group assignment tomorrow, which I have no idea what it is on about.

Day 5 at Queensland

Day 5 was a long day where Gab, Nick and I went to Movie World. Movie World had more of a “wow” factor where characters would come around the place compared to Dreamland. The rides were pretty crazy as well. I did all of it but one, which is the lethal weapon. Gab and Nick was trying to convince me to go on it but I it just look too crazy. Watch some pretty cool shows such as the Shrek 4D. Day 5 at Queensland ended at having a nice dinner at Hogs Breath.

Day 6 at Queensland

An intense Day 5 at Queensland resulted us to sleep in. The whole group decided to go back to Dreamland where Nick and Gab can finally ride the tower of terror. Turns out the ride were not good as it suppose to be. As for me, I hanged with Mika and Asher, which a lot better than riding a thriller ride. We also watch special shows such as the Tiger show where we saw how Tigers can jump pretty high even though they weight like 195 kg and even climb trees. Also checked out the show called “Slime” which gave me a lot of ideas that can be used for Fungus. Went to the water park after where it was an ok day to have a swim. Would be better if it was in the summer. There pretty cool rides such the Green Zone, Super Hydro and The wedge. The Wedge was a pretty scary ride. Pretty much you’re stuck in a tube. After that, the floor disappears and you’re going down a tube where water is splashing at your face. The day ended with everyone eating a pretty classy restaurant.

Day 7 at Queensland

The final day at Queensland was pretty much a relaxing day. Spent the day at the beach where most of us were just letting the sun bake us. Nothing really much happened as we ate a seafood store for dinner. After that, we went to the bar to watch the Community Shield between Man Utd and Chelsea. We all left at half time except Nick. That’s how Day 7 turned out.

In all honesty, I really wanted a break from everything. Things like from Uni, soccer, Fungus, Sunday school has really kept me busy for this year. After having a good break, I feel really re-energised and with all awesome shows from Movie World and Dreamworld, I feel that Fungus is going to be a lot different. First things first, I need a nap! Anyway,  I do miss you guys and hope to see you soon even though could do another week at Gold Coast. Haha! That wraps up my Queensland trip. Hopefully I will be able to blog once a week and start doing some workouts. Til Next Time!

Chilling with some babies

After a good dinner, decided to play with the kids. Ever wonder how to get Asher to sit still? Well, I found out a way to do that. While i was taking care of Mika, Asher suddenly comes into our room, and wants to be on the bed. I put him on top and he starting jump around. With a baby in one hand, it was definitely hard to take care of the other. So i quickly showed a video and the video was an Altitude video where the song is called Hey Juliet. Asher was sitting still and watching the video! He has watched the vid at least 10 times. Gab and i are sick of the song already, don’t think i want to listen to this song for a while.

Asher focusing really hard on the video while Gab is studying. Video will be up on facebook! so keep an eye out!

Anyway, gonna go out soon!

Queensland Day 4

Queensland day 4 turned out to be a pretty relaxing day. After all the excitement from Dreamworld made everyone tired especially Gabriel. We were meant to go to the waterpark today but turns out we missed the last bus as most of us slept in. I was pretty keen to go on the water slides rather than going on the thriller rides.

Plans were change, so we decided to eat KFC for lunch and head to beach. Today was the only day that was not suitable for beach in my opinion. Clouds were blocking the sun where I had to wear a jumper to stay warm. I refused to go to the water, as it was too cold, so I hanged with Asher instead. After while, I was somehow convince to go into the waters. It was freezing! But boarding was pretty fun. Manage to get on top of waves somehow. Pretty good for a first timer!

Headed back to hotel and took a 10 min rest. After that, the boys headed down to the pool so we can clean ourselves off from the sand. The pool was just a bit warmer from last time. It was a great time as we were swimming around and as well, I was teaching them how to swim.

Stayed in the pool for a while but we couldn’t hack the coldness so we decided to gym instead. I struggle with the upper bodywork but I realise that my lower bodywork is pretty good. I was doing weights at the bottom. I was pretty satisfied with the work out, but I know for sure that I’m going to be really sore.

Decided to eat in tonight so Sonja is cooking some thing really good! Just smelling is turning my stomach upside down. Anyway, I think we are going to Movie World tomorrow. Can’t wait to I get the thriller rides over and done with or maybe I might just pass the rides and shop around. Til tomorrow!

Queensland Day 3

Let’s kick things off that I didn’t have the best sleep as I was petrified from the description of the rides. Dreamworld was the first theme park that we were going to. The ride that I told myself that I wasn’t going on the giant drop. 39 storeys high and just thinking about it still give me goosebumps.

The day start off with all of us waking up at 7am, yea I know its pretty early! Turns out that we left around 8:30! Could of gotten more sleep! Well, I caught up some more sleep on the bus. After some time, we arrived and dreamworld. The first thing I saw was the tallest ride there, The Giant Drop! As I said before, I told myself that I would not go on that ride. However, it turns out that I did! Which was my first ride as well! Seriously… the scariest ride ever! I really hate heights. After surviving the ride, it turns out Quentin didn’t record it! So that means I had to go again! Went on the other rides such as the Claw, wipe out. Pretty insane rides.

After a tiring day, went for a dinner buffet, which wasn’t that, great. Now I’m pretty much relaxing after a long tiring day and as well getting owned by the high schoolers. Even on holiday I still can get bagged. Anyway, the bagging has stopped for a while… I can kinda get some peace. White Water World should be awesome! Til tomorrow!

Queensland Day 2

Queensland day 2

Turns out that buffet breakfast had to set back for another day. 2 alarms rang but none of us could wake up. Today was a relaxing day for us where we scouting the area around and buying grocery stuff. Nick was struggling today as he was hungry after each meal.

After lunch, took some time to chillax athe pool which was super cold! Go on facebook and you could see a video of Gabriel pushing me into the freezing water. Today was my first day of an actual work out at the gym. Was pretty tiring. After all the intense work at the gym and sitting in the steam room, I headed back to the room and went for a nap.

Nap turned out to be a short nap as we headed out for dinner at Hardrock. Quentin was left babysitting which left Gabriel, Nick, Sonja and me to party it out! We thought it was ladies night tonight but turns out it was tomorrow. Nevertheless, I still had fun hanging with Sonja.

Tomorrow, we are heading a theme park. I’m pretty scared right now as high rides and me does not work. I rather gym the whole day then do a high ride. Hopefully it would be ok… I hope. Til Tomorrow!

Here are some pics that I took.

A drink that taste like medicine!!

My Dinner at Hardrock

Pretty good Ice cream!

On the way back… saw this monstrous beast!

That is all… wish me luck!!

Queensland Day 1

If you guys have facebook, most of you all know that i’m on holiday. Most of you are probably celebrating that i’m gone. Well i figure that I should blog about my trip. I have been telling Gab to blog but his has been too busy with other things. I will try to blog every night but there are no promises.

While most people would skip school or something to get the luggages ready, i decided to go to Uni to attend my tutorial which was a drainer. Waking up at 7:30am in the morning where i could sleeping til like 12pm. After Uni, i went straight back home but before i took the bus home, i decided to go to ANZ bank to draw money for the trip since that i had no money in my wallet. All i wanted to do was bank in my cheque and draw money but turns out i had to do some more things. Turns out that i was applying for a debit card which took 30 – 45 mins… another drainer event.

Got back home around 12:30 and after having a drainer morning… i decided to take a nap. Woke up at 2:25pm to head off to the airport. Highlight of the day was when Nick was asked to have a random bomb checking. It was Nick’s first trip ever since he arrived to Australia so he was pretty clueless. He oblige the security person and the person pretty much rage him saying that he could go to Jail or something like that. I couldn’t remember cause i was running away just in case i got called up for a random bomb check. Our Flight got delayed which resulted the kids to be mega rowdy. After hearing a decent amount of crying and screaming… i really don’t want a kid for the time being.

So here I am now, nothing much has happen but apparently i’m having a buffet breakfast tomorrow which starts at 6am!!! I’m having second thoughts where i might just sleep in and go for lunch. its like 2am right now. 4 hrs of sleep is crazy!! Anyway… time to get some shut eye. Til tomorrow!

Thank You

I assume the Fungus leaders are waiting for someone to blog so I might as well get things started. As you may have notice, Quentin is on leave for 3 weeks which means I got a fair bit to do.

Last week was a challenge. 4 major task i had to do last week.

1. Running Youth Alpha
2. Running Fungus
3. Mcing for Nick’s 21st b-day
4. Speaking a bible message for Sunday school

I’m surprised that I’m still in one piece. There is a lot of thank you I want to say.Thank God for giving me the perseverance and strength to last the past few days. thank God for helping me with the preparation of Youth Alpha. Thank God for the smooth running of Fungus and as well the Fungus leaders who did an amazing job. Couldn’t have done it without them. Even if the youth don’t realise the hard work they do, I see the efforts they put in. It is definitely not going to waste. Thank God for the success of running Nick’s 21st b-day. Thank God for allowing me stay awake and being able to prepare/speak my message in sunday school despite the kids being rowdy. Got to love how our God always provide when we need a miracle!

A Bad Week

Ok, I got 30 minute to type something interesting which I hope it is. I started uni last week and in all honesty… I’m already tempted to wag. The question is, when will I skip class? That answer was last Tuesday! I know, I’m terrible but a few people who I shall not mention persuade… actually BEG me to play in the finals for the soccer. So in the end, I decided to leave class halfway to attend the finals which is where my bad week started.

We won on the finals but it ended up in a crappy celebration. We won by forfeit. Reason being is that some guy broke his leg when he tried to tackle me. It was all too fast me to absorb of what happen. I thought he kicked my heal and he broke his leg but others stated that he landed weirdly and broke it. I did not cause the broken leg cause I don’t think i have the strength to break it and I was dribbling the ball so I definitely innocent but it was traumatising.

Since then, I have been so much cautious when I play soccer cause I’m really fragile where someone like Nick can probably break my bones without breaking a sweat. I thought that Tuesday would be the last of it but on Thursday, I accidentally broke the church printer somehow. Overall, it was a terrible week for me.  I don’t know about you, but what would you do when you had a terrible week. Some would probably go emo, while some can easily forget it, BUT…. would you ever look to God for help. I guess all the events affects our minds where we are less likely to seek God for help but use our own strength to work things out. I was definitely using my own strength to work things out, but God does have his ways.

During worship on Friday night, I had an encounter with God. The song in christ alone really affected me in a big way. There are lyrics that goes by “source of strength” and “source of hope” that really got me thinking that I really overreacted and did not seek God who is my provider day in and day out. Friday was the day that my week got a whole lot better. The funny thing is, the song in christ alone was played 3 times this week. It was played in Youth, Kids and sunday service. What a way to stick to your mind that our God that is a good God that provides! Also want to give thanks for people that supported me during that tough week… you know who you are :P

God is Good, all the time!!

I guess I am really over the moon. God does really hit surprises on me out of no where. I thought having a great Fungus Launch was good but It got even better for me. As most of you know, my first uni offer was Banking and Finance at Vic university which was ok for me since I had some interest in banking. Last night was simply amazing, I got back home after work and getting stuff for the Wilson prom trip with a bunch of friends. My dad hands me a letter which I thought it was those centrelink who was probably nagging me to write them a letter about my work. I opened the letter and then it really hit me hard. I got my 2nd offer from RMIT! WOOO! the course I wanted as well! Before i got my 2nd course offer, I was kinda bummed that I didn’t get my course. My faith level kinda dropped a bit but I still believed that I would get my course and God really provided for me in the end. All praises goes to him.

Just want to give thanks for the awesome Launch of Fungus as well. I was literally shaking and stressing about the Launch. My mouth felt like a desert when Fungus Launch started. However, God really made an awesome start to the launch as the people who attended the launch would agree.

To all readers, have faith and even if things don’t work out, have faith still, that is what I got to say. God does provide for each one of us. As the saying goes “God is good, all the time” and “All the time, God is good!”
