Last Summer…

Hey guys, first blog of the year! (for me that is)

Well, as the Summer holidays come to an end, I have been looking back at this very long holidays, and thought what I’ve managed to do with my time. This is a short list that I’ve managed to come up with :

Went on Summer Project at Philip Island with Student Life, which is pretty much a mission trip to Philip Island to evengalise to schoolies, We had a total of 1265+ conversations, 751 of which were spiritual (had something to do with christianity, or God),  90 of which we shared the complete gospel and challenged people to accept Jesus as their saviour, 3 people accepted Jesus for the first time. It was an amazing time spent there, getting to know the team and leading someone to Christ ( all glory to God) and also wingman-ing Audrey to leading another person to Christ (once again, all glory to God).  That feeling was just too surreal, having never done that before, but I was so encouraged, and my passion to serve God just continued to burn brighter.

I’ve been meeting up with people I’ve met last year, and it’s been great, seeing where they are at, and how they are doing. And also, how much i should be doing with my life. which really pushed me and challenged me. I must say, it has been hard for me to keep tract of time, and what to do, but I’m truly glad I’ve had all these catch ups. Words can not convey what it’s like. Having see others excel in their gifts and share about the gospel to other strangers. Really tickles my bones when you find out this particular person has talked to heaps of people about Christ, sharing his heart out, while I haven’t been doing so, and been slacking off. But at the same time, it gets my blood boiling, ready to take on any conversations about God that comes my way.

God has also put a burden in my heart for my high school friends who are christians, so much so that I’ve started a bible study group with them, to keep all of us accountable, and growing in God’s word. It wasn’t easy, and still isn’t but i’m looking forward to the fruits it’ll bear..  just can’t wait!

I’ve also decided to join this biggest loser competition, for the good of myself, and also to challenge Nick, which is what we normally need in order to make this a success, someone to compete with. =)    Having said that, I haven’t done very well, and haven’t lost as much weight as I originally planned, but it just means more effort and less food ey ;)

Looking back, I can truly see God move over this summer, doing wonderful stuff with me, as i avail myself to Him. It’s just mind blowing. But my question to you is this, How has your summer been? Has it been filled with one where you can truly be proud of? or is it one where you just ended up wasting?

p.s. if you’d really want a detail account, just ask me.. i’ll be more than happy to share!
